I purchased a Service Plan at Costco. How does the coverage work?

TVs and Computers purchased at Costco:

Costco’s Concierge service extends your manufacturer’s warranty through 2 years from the item's purchase date.  If you have any problems within those first two years of owning the TV or computer, you should contact Costco Concierge for assistance and repair service.  They can be reached by phone at 866-861-0450.

For TVs, SquareTrade will cover you once your Concierge service expires, in years three, four, and five after the original purchase date of your TV.

For computers, SquareTrade will cover you once your Concierge service expires, in year three after the original purchase date of your computer. For Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) claims on computers, all ADH claims will be handled by SquareTrade directly.

Cell Phones purchased at Costco and TVs purchased elsewhere: 

Cell phones are not eligible for Concierge service. Instead, your cell phone's manufacturer will generally offer a one-year limited warranty. You should contact them directly for any electrical or mechanical problems within the first year. SquareTrade will handle all ADH claims directly.

If you purchased your TV at another retailer, you are not eligible for Concierge service.  Instead, your TV’s manufacturer will generally offer a one-year limited warranty, and you should contact them directly for any problems within the first year. SquareTrade will cover you for years two, three, and four after the original purchase date of the TV.

How the coverage works:

Within SquareTrade’s coverage term, as described above, you can contact us by phone or go online to file a claim.  Once your claim is approved, we will arrange repair at a central facility or in-home service (for TVs 37” and larger and desktop computers).  If we ask you to ship your TV for repair or inspection, we will pay for shipping both ways. For cell phones, we will overnight you a replacement phone. Replacements will be either the same model or a model with the same or similar features.
